Helen Johnson

Thanks for stopping by to say hello! Married with two children, my life outside of work revolves around my wonderful family and the outdoors. When I'm not photographing weddings, you'll find me in the hills, on my bike or in the kitchen baking something tasty! I'm lucky enough to call two places home, Kenya and England, and love photographing weddings in both locations (and everywhere in between!).

I started photography as a child - I loved taking pictures of the animals and landscapes I saw on my weekend trips away growing up in Kenya. First with a little cheap Kodak film camera, then someone very close to me let me use her manual SLR where I took my first "proper" photographs. I then stepped more into wildlife and sports photography, before becoming a wedding photographer over 10 years ago. You can have a look at some of wildlife, landscape and sport photography here

If you're wondering what "ASILI" in Asili Photography means, it's a Swahili word meaning "new beginnings" and more simply, love. I am proud and feel very lucky to be a part of your new start in life as a married couple; it means the world to me.

I can't wait to talk with you about your wedding or engagement!
